Our Top 10 Christmas films

Craig Finnigan

We know it’s not quite December yet (sure you can give us some slack though - we’re only a day early), but all the Christmas trees and decorations we’ve seen have given us a truck load of festive spirit. I’m even considering  sipping on a Baileys and chomping on a sweet mince pie whilst I write this post to be honest :)

I think 2020 has taught us that pretty much anything goes. We’ve all had to navigate our new normal, finding ways to keep our spirits up. I think it’s fair to say a fair few of us in the UK have decided that Christmas can come early this year. Personally I’ve loved seeing the streets twinkling and the happy faces of young children as a bit of Christmas magic appears.

This has made us think about other festive traditions, and something we absolutely love here at A Town Called Home is the time of year when you snuggle up in front of the TV to watch your favourite Christmas movie.

Who cares how many times you’ve watched it? The nostalgia is comforting. And watching a new generation embrace your favourite film for the first time is magic in itself! Did we mention we have a range of Christmas film inspired cards?

So, to make sure we’re all fully equipped to fill our boots with festive films over the next few weeks, we’ve compiled a list of our favourites.

  1. Elf
  2. Miracle on 34th Street
  3. Home Alone
  4. Love Actually
  5. Santa Claus: The Movie
  6. It’s a Wonderful Life
  7. The Grinch
  8. The Holiday
  9. Home Alone 2: Lost in New York
  10. The Christmas Chronicles

We hope you enjoy
